Title of Position: Urinalysis Product Specialist
Location: UK Field Based

Job Summary
- This scientific position is designed to assist our new and expanding Urinalysis customer base by providing support in the form of training, installation, instrument validation and telephone assistance.
-The person in this position will also be expected to provide significant input to the sales process by providing the required product and application expertise in support of the Urinalysis sales team.
-The successful candidate will demonstrate good technical and logical problem solving capability, ability to read and understand detailed scientific and technical literature, ability to deliver presentations, perform administrative duties using their innate IT related hardware / software skills.
-It is essential to maintain maximum customer satisfaction by ensuring stakeholders receive excellent scientific and technical support throughout the life of their instrumentation. This position will requires good time management, attention to detail, customer focus, communication and a good grasp of information technology.
-Measurement of strict Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensure that support, installations and training courses, are delivered by efficient and dedicated product specialists.
-The successful applicant must perform their job functions in line with the company's expectations, and act as ambassadors for the company in all aspects of their work. All staff are expected to adhere to company's quality and H & S policy at all times.

Person Specification
This position requires a confident knowledgeable person with drive to achieve results in their specialist technical and administrative area of expertise. A good communicator and personable nature with good social skills this person will be able to effectively communicate, build relationships and install confidence at every customer interaction. The role involves concepts, equipment, ideas and problem solving requiring a sound depth of knowledge and expertise to visualise solutions, overcome obstacles and leave customers with a positive outcome. The person fulfilling this role should be driven, constantly learning and adapting to changes in the environment around them. A person who is continually looking to improve themselves and the working environment.

Qualifications Education and Training
Essential:
- BSc (Hons)degree in Biomedical Science or Similar

Desirable
- Training Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Aptitudes
Essential
- A good understanding of microbiology and urinalysis in a hospital laboratory environment
- Greater than 1 year experience in a commercial environment or Agenda for Change band >=5
- Technical and logical problem solving capability.
- Reading and understanding of scientific and technical documentation.
- Good communicator / negotiator
- Good Organisational skills
