A New Opportunity has come up as a Territory Manager, covering the south of the UK, perfect for someone who has recently finished an MSc or a PhD in a life science subject looking to go into scientific sales or someone has experience within scientific sales holding a BSc in a life science subject.

PRODUCTS: Multiplex PCR Assays, PCR Machines (Robots) and Analysers.
TERRITORY: South UK
CUSTOMERS: NHS Laboratories

Job Purpose and Objectives:

- Supporting the management in the implementation of the Business Sales Strategies within UK South Territory.
- 50% of your time will be spent with existing customers and 50% will be spend with new customers.
- Drives the sales channels including direct and indirect to achieve the company's business objectives.
- Achieving annual sales targets.
- Ensuring Sales visits are carried out professionally with recorded visit reports.
- Gathering market intelligence information relating to customers/clients and competitors.

Job Responsibilities and Major Tasks:

- Setting customer Visit priorities as defined within the sales strategy.
- Routine travel to attend meetings and to develop and build key relationships with new and existing customers.
- Demonstrating products to customers.
- To maximize sales revenue and market share by establishing and managing multiple sales channels.
- Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities.
- Evaluate distributor performance against business growth objectives.
- Deliver product training and support to the existing and new customers.
- Collaborate to ensure marketing collateral is relevant to the respective market.
- Attendance at exhibitions and trade shows.
- Ensure that databases are current and updates with accurate customer information.
- Communicate performance against defined targets.
- Maintain effective communication with management and staff.
- Provide information on territorial trends, market growth, market direction and competition.
- Managing tenders and following up with agreed timescales after the closing date.

Person Specification:

- A MSc or PhD in a life science
- Sales, retail or any customer facing experience within any industry
- A BSc with Scientific sales experience
- Understanding of molecular biology
- Excellent communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Assertiveness
- Presentational Skills
- Planning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
