An excellent opportunity for a chemistry graduate with post-degree laboratory experience to move into a Technical Support Specialist role with a world leader in laboratory based automated analysis!

This role is office based in Wrexham with travel across the UK for up to 3 trips per month of 3 to 4 days each. The company are looking for a candidate who has a bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related subject, post-degree laboratory experience in an analytical field is preferred.

PRODUCTS: Discrete Analyzer, Segmented Flow, Block Digestion, AutoSampler, Robotic Sampling
CUSTOMERS: Wastewater, soil water and agriculture analysis

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform on-site instrument installations, commissioning and trainings
- Contact customers to book installation/training dates
- Book all travel arrangements for installation/training
- Prepare all paperwork for customer installation/training
- Customer follow-up after installation/training
- Perform telephone and e-mail troubleshooting for customers
- Analyze customer data including assigning diagnostic tests
- Perform studies for future method development and assist in development of methods by collecting support data
- Research possible products to recommend to customers and to sell
- Perform diagnostics on in-house instruments intended for customer loans
- Assist with sales and marketing strategies
- Attend conferences
- Participate in relevant regulatory bodies conferences/meetings
- Assist with workshops and perform Chemist portion of content
- Customer visits to assess technical needs vs wants
- Interface with distribution partners on technical sales questions and market needs

REQUIREMENTS:
-Employee requires a Bachelor's Degree in a Chemistry or Life Science related discipline
- Demonstrate experience in a fast-paced environment working as part of a team to accomplish common goals.
- Communicate effectively with customers and other employees of the organization. Foreign language skills are an advantage
- Perform excellent mathematical skills
- Demonstrate a desire and ability to travel where and when required; up to 3 trips per month of 3 to 4 days each.
