An exciting role suitable for an experienced scientific sales representative who has sold into the life sciences market. This position is covering the North-East of England and East Midlands as well as Belfast and selling to clients in healthcare, biotech, pharma and academia.
PRODUCTS: Molecular Biology instrumentation and consumables for: Next generation Sequencing, Sanger Sequencing, Microarrays, rt-PCR and qPCR
TERRITORY: North-East England, East Midlands and Northern Ireland
CUSTOMERS: Academic, Research, NHS , Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Laboratories

Maintain existing customer relationships, develop additional business opportunities in existing accounts, and develop new accounts for the portfolio
Work closely as part of the commercial team to pass on market information, leads and customer feedback to ensure a team focused approach
Participate in company sales training programs
Execute a strategic business plan for managing assigned territory annually, updated quarterly
Develop presentations and customer proposals
Maintain and increase current customer database
Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activities and changing customer development plans and priorities
Provide product and other relevant information to customers via daily phone contact and personal visits
BSc in Biology, Molecular Biology or related field; (PhD preferred) or the equivalent laboratory knowledge and experience (minimum 2+ years post degree)
In-depth knowledge of Molecular Biology and related techniques
Sales experience preferred, but scientists with the desire to move into sales will be considered.
Excellent communication skills and experience with customer contact, teaching or public speaking helpful
