Technical Sales Representative

TERRITORY:

PRODUCTS: Selling the companies range of Laboratory Consumables and Equipment including, market leading Pasteur Pipettes, Pipette Tips, PCR products, Tubes, Caps and Vials Automation Consumables and Freezer Storage Racking.

CUSTOMERS include NHS Trusts, Universities, Life Science/Research and Industrial establishments.

This fast paced yet enjoyable role will allow the incumbent to demonstrate their flair for selling and an ability to focus on closing high value business, whilst continuing to maintain and grow smaller, but equally important, core business customers.



Job Package

Graduate Scientist with no or limited sales experience: Upto £35000
£54k OTE if on target.
Commission/Bonus (the Elkay Gradu-8 - Training Initiative (GTI) rewards hard work and sales development. This is a three-stage, 18 month programme with regular pay reviews. There is no guarantee that pay will rise at each review).
1-2 year track record in Laboratory Equipment Sales or allied industries:


Other benefits:
- Sales Commission (0.75% of all sales above a min. GP%) and target bonus (0.75% of target)
- Motor Car - typically a 1.0 to 1.5L, 5 door Hatchback. Availability dependent on current fleet stock.

- 22 Days Holiday Rising to 25 Days after 5 years service


Person Profile

The successful candidate
Will be a true self-starter, with a strong desire to enter a technical sales career or may have field sales experience in a similar or related field. They will have the confidence and maturity to liaise with customers at senior management level and the tenacity to follow the sales cycle to its ultimate conclusion.

Candidate must haves
- Completed a B.Sc. or other degree.
- UK field sales experience or a driven laboratory scientist looking to move into field sales.
- Confident in managing a territory
- Self-motivated and target driven
- Clean and full British Driving License
- Must live on territory or know it very well and No relocations please
