A leading scientific company are seeking a Technical Product Specialist to support their Laser Diffraction products. This is a great opportunity for a PhD educated scientist with a Physical Chemistry based degree to move into a varied commercial role involving customer demonstrations, customer training, technical support and presentations.
The role is office based in Worcestershire but does require travel both in the UK and overseas around 25% of the time.
Experience with particle characterisation / laser diffraction / image analysis / electron microscopy (all or some areas) is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical input for the company's laser diffraction product portfolio via supporting the sales team with pre-sales demonstrations and presentations.
- Provide customer technical support and training for the laser diffraction product portfolio to end-users and global distributor partners.
- Develop and document application knowledge and expertise in the area of laser diffraction-based particle characterisation.
- Provide input for the development of hardware and software.
- Work closely with the R&D department to provide customer feedback and aid them with product development
- Work closely with the Marketing team to provide technical input on documentation and literature.


PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- PhD educated with a relevant physical science degree and/or demonstrable practical experience in the field of particle characterization.
- Experience in laser diffraction and/or image analysis is desirable.
- A proven ability to coherently write and present scientific information.
- Knowledge or experience of any of the following application areas of the particle characterisation market would be an advantage.
