Technical Account Specialist

Exciting Opportunity for a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist within Haematology/Transfusion to join a leading company within the diagnostics market!

TERRITORY: Birmingham, South Wales, South West UK
PRODUCTS: Haematology, Transfusion , Immunohaematology
CUSTOMERS: Mainly NHS, some private labs

Primary responsibilities for role:

Compliance - Adhere to procedures and protocols outlined by the organization.

Account Management - The TAS will be responsible for all Account Management aspects of Customers. Some (not all) examples are:
· Customer Liaison between Departments and the Customer Site
· Implementation and Training of new customers
· Upgrade to Equipment or Software
· Technical Review
· Daily Operations/Troubleshooting

Projects - The TAS will be responsible for all projects implemented at Customer Sites.
· Ensure good communication within the customer site
· Perform Site Workflow Analysis
· Collect Customer Data and perform Analysis at country/sector level

Personal Development - The TAS will continue personal development to enhance their skills.
· Presentation Skills
· Communication Skills

Key Performance Indicators / Measures for Success
· Internal Training and corporate training will be completed on time 98% of the time
· Invalid Runs, Invalid Samples, RUF (Reagent utilisation Factor)
· Call closure rates - as defined in individual goals & objectives each year.
· TAS Time per Service Request (Labor Hours)
· Documentation of activity within 24 hours of occurrence; WO resolved within 5 days of completion of work. WO rework to be completed within 5 days of notification.
· Participation and execution of Customer Technical Reviews
· Customer satisfaction

Individual requirements
· Science degree
· 2 years experience in diagnostic customer service/technical support
· Band 6 BMS or higher
· Project Management skills
· Trouble Shooting Skills
· Able to travel extensively including global travel
