Do you have supervisory experience and want to develop in management? Do you mentor any new engineers coming into your business? If so this may be the role for you!

· Analyser and peripheral component setup for end user customers and subsidiaries and distributors
· Installation of analysers as required
· Visit customer sites and assist engineers and colleagues as required
· Undertake analyser preventative maintenance services
· Troubleshooting and repair of analyser complaints by telephone and email for International and UK customer sites within the timescales set out in the service level and between company agreements
· Repair and/or replacement of any faulty analyser components to restore functionality of the analyser within the agreed timescales and in order to offer first time fix solution
· Repair returned analysers or component parts and return to reconditioned stock
· Maintain stock control of spare parts
· Write, check, approve and update service documents as required
· Validate and test new hardware on existing platforms and software versions
· Validate other future Binding Site platforms
· Deliver service engineer training for internal and external people
· Attend external training courses as required
· To coordinate all daily activities including all scheduled engineering visits, responding to breakdowns, allocation of work, training and to ensure the required standard of service is achieved and maintained as per SLA
· To ensure that all statutory and Company regulations and policies relating to SOP's, health and safety are enforced and maintained
· To liaise with all staff, including regular meetings, to ensure effective and meaningful communication
· To take responsibility for supporting staff, formally and informally with appropriate records keeping, according to the needs of the business and within the procedure laid down by the Company
· To present a smart and professional image at all times
· Identify need for updates and distribute documents to analyser users and next generation of instrumentation
· Manage engineers spare part inventory
· Ensure communication at all times with other areas of the business such as marketing and production

· Electronics, Medical or Engineering Degree/HNC (or equivalent)
· Worked in a healthcare environment with supervisory experience
· Full UK driving licence
· Proven field service track record
· Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers, engineering team and peers
· IT literacy and knowledge of current software and operating systems
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Must be comfortable with European and worldwide travel at short notice
· Requires a flexible approach to work at unsociable hours
· Self-reliance and motivation

· Basic laboratory skills
· Experience in the IVD Industry

· Death in service 3 x salary
· Pension: Company contribute 6%, the minimum the employee contributes is 3.5%, they can put more in if they wish.
