Field Service Engineer for Mobility / Patient Handling- service, maintenance and repair of specialist hoists and stairlifts, used in hospitals, care homes and schools - covering a regional territory depending on your location.

Experience working as an engineer in a patient care environment is required.

Role Summary:
•  Meet daily service maintenance and repair needs of customer equipment
•  Weight testing equipment to Loler guidelines
•  Completion of service and repair documentation via smart phone PDA device
•  Manage van stock levels, ensuring that at all times the required stock levels are maintained in line with achieving a first time fix and the assigned daily workload
•  Identify required specialist parts via equipment user manuals and communicating these requests
•  Maintaining tools and test equipment ensuring they are properly calibrated and reviewed in line with H&S compliance
•  Adhere to Risk/Method Statements and contract Operating Procedures at all times
•  Effectively communicate/escalate issues to the back office scheduling team
•  Participate in the company call out rota
•  Ensure excellent customer relationships and service orientated approach
•  Identifying and participate in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and equipment/service package sales
•  Work to the culture of health and safety first

Person Specification:
•  Experience with power tools and hand tools
•  Experience working as a service repair engineer in patient care environments
•  Excellent communication skills and customer-service focused.
•  Analytically minded and forward-thinking
•  Proactive, with good problem-solving skills, able to make decisions independently
•  Flexible approach to work
