Covering a South-West region (Bristol, Oxford, Swindon, Reading areas), the role involves service, maintenance and repair of specialist hoists, beds, mattresses, bathing solutions and lifts, used in hospitals, care homes and schools.
Experience working as an engineer in a patient care environment is required.
Meet daily service maintenance and repair needs of customer equipment
Weight testing equipment to Loler guidelines
Completion of service and repair documentation via smart phone PDA device
Manage van stock levels, ensuring that at all times the required stock levels are maintained in line with achieving a first time fix and the assigned daily workload
Identify required specialist parts via equipment user manuals and communicating these requests
Maintaining tools and test equipment ensuring they are properly calibrated and reviewed in line with H&S compliance
Adhere to Risk/Method Statements and contract Operating Procedures at all times
Effectively communicate/escalate issues to the back office scheduling team
Participate in the company call out rota
Ensure excellent customer relationships and service orientated approach
Identifying and participate in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and equipment/service package sales
Work to the culture of health and safety first
Experience with power tools and hand tools
Experience working as a service repair engineer in patient care environments
Excellent communication skills and customer-service focused.
Analytically minded and forward-thinking
Proactive, with good problem-solving skills, able to make decisions independently
