Fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing, established clinical diagnostics brand as a Senior Global Product Manager, suitable for a current Diagnostics Product Manager! Based in Birmingham and focusing on diagnostic systems.

Do you want to work for and make a real impact on a £130m turnover, private equity backed, international healthcare business, which specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of diagnostic products which has doubled its revenues in the last 5 years?
The individual can be based in the UK or Europe as long as they are prepared to spend at least 2 weeks per month at our head office in Edgbaston, Birmingham and be prepared for at least 40% international travel

PRODUCTS: Analysers and Software - must have experience in diagnostic systems and have a very strong commercial understanding.
LOCATION: Birmingham

What will you be doing?
o Develop and achieve the revenue budget for area of responsibility
o Actively support sales in order to achieve budget
o Lead any action or strategy to reduce price erosion
o Lead development and implementation of product development plans in collaboration with Commercial Marketing team and regional teams, monitor and coordinate the implementation of activities according to plan
o Assess market demands and user needs and develop market entry strategies for new products
o Develop the product/portfolio roadmap for area or responsibility
o Lead and work in interdisciplinary project teams towards the development and launch of new products
o Lead and manage product launches including preparation for market, product and commercial readiness
o Work with Commercial Marketing team and Marketing Centre of Excellence to produce launch materials and deliver promotions on time and in budget
o Lead product lifecycle management including monitoring customer feedback, competitor activity, new customer needs and sales support materials, product changes, product discontinuation
o Establish and maintain relationships with global KOLs / key customers / networks
o Lead continuous improvement of working processes
o Coach and mentor team members

Who are we looking for?
-Scientific degree, PhD or equivalent and/or Marketing or Business degree or MBA
-Typically, 5-8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years work experience in product management/marketing in the diagnostic/Life science industry
-Previous experience of commercializing and launching diagnostic products
-Fluent written and spoken English
-Excellent written, presentation and communication skills
-Numerical skills for manipulation of market and sales data, profitability calculations and NPV calculations.
-Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
-Product Lifecycle management
-Required to travel internationally, up to 40%, including some evening and weekends

-Experience of working internationally, particularly EMEA, Asia Pacific and the US.
-Sales experience
-Marketing related qualification
-Experience in time and project management
-Additional languages
