Senior Commercial Manager

Currently recruiting for an experienced sales representative in the life sciences, medical or diagnostics market to join a fast growing molecular diagnostics organisation.

Our company is a young, fast-growing biotech start-up that operates at the intersection of synthetic biology and robotics. Born with the vision of making diagnostics accessible to all, we design, build and operate next generation molecular diagnostic platforms.
We are based in central London, where it has built a state-of-the-art laboratory and is operating its first commercially successful platform for high-throughput PCR testing for infectious diseases. This represents a small but important step in our journey to transform access to mass-scale diagnostics for communities around the world.

We are looking for like-minded people to join the team as we rapidly move into new areas of molecular diagnostics.

The Position
We are seeking an experienced sales representative to join our team. This person is someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, is ambitious and strongly motivated by the opportunity to operate, build and lead our commercial function from the ground up.
You will work alongside the co-founders to develop, implement and execute strategic commercial plans in line with the business' overall objectives. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
Strategic prospecting into key target accounts, identified through comprehensive customer mapping
Generating and managing a sales pipeline of new business;
Creating compelling sales and marketing materials;
Converting inbound and outbound leads into new customers;
Providing a seamless onboarding experience for our customers;
Working alongside our customer success team to manage existing customer accounts and ensure the highest level of satisfaction;
Designing and implementing our sales and account management processes;
Representing the company at relevant trade shows and conferences;
Defining, tracking and communicating internally key objectives and performance metrics.

Experience
3-6 years' experience in business development, account management, commercial and/or growth teams;
Direct experience in a B2B sales environment (having an existing network in the diagnostics space is a strong plus);
Strong sales skills and track record of business development & account management success;
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills;
Data-driven and results oriented;
Ability to work independently in a small team, be accountable, and proactively take on and own your responsibilities.
