An Exciting Oppurtunity with a market leading organisation looking to hire a hunter style profile to support the growth of thier IVD divison.
Overall Purpose:To develop and grow the IVD business in the UK to new and existing customers.
The role will provide effective sales for all areas of the IVD business in order to maximise sales and budgetary objectives in the UK, including training and technical support on the IVD products and technology.
The role will be responsible for the development of new business managing and delivering projects and programmes aimed at providing growth to the business in both the vet and human market segments, as directed and agreed with the IVD Business Manager.
Key Impact of the role: Creation of sales growth by;
– Within the IVD funnel develop sales opportunities
– Organise evaluations/trials for appropriate customers
– Sourcing new projects via appropriate channels
– Supporting the IVD Business Manager to develop larger projects
Develop strong opportunities and sales in human and vet markets / expand IVD business into new market segments (hospital / non-hospital)
Provide specialist clinical knowledge for all areas of the IVD business.
Delivering product demonstrations to prospective customers and full implementation of customer installations.
Plan and co-ordinate customer clinical evaluations / trials in liaison with the IVD teams in Japan and Europe.
Assist IVD Business Manager with budgeting process and produce accurate sales forecasts / document in Salesforce.com (SFDC).
Delivery of projects to increase market share in IVD market, as agreed with the IVD Business Manager.
Assist IVD Business Manager with development / implementation of strategic marketing / business plan, including effective market launch of new products / technologies.
Working as directed by the IVD Business Manager for the creation and ownership of price lists, configurations and cost tools.
Configuration and maintenance of SFDC, working with IVD Business Manager to ensure price lists and sales opportunities are qualified correctly.
Building a picture of the UK competitive landscape within SFDC by monitoring industry publications and attending tradeshows, BIVDA trade association meetings to build networks and develop leads from this information.
Analysis of existing install base to understand where opportunities for growth could be exploited.
Working with the IVD Business Manager to ensure sales successes receive maximum PR / market exposure.
Working with and supporting the IVD Business Manager with new business opportunities, liaising and coordinating with direct customers and 3rd party distributors where required.
General administrative support for the IVD Business Manager.
Working with internal stakeholders to ensure customer orders, queries and complaints are handled timely and correctly.
Location – Source opportunities throughout England. Assisting the Business Manager in Scotland, Ireland and Wales where necessary.
Experienced sales professional with background of selling into IVD (biochemistry / immunodiagnostics / point of care testing) market.
Specialist clinical and technical knowledge of IVD industry and / or academic / lab background in the field of life science (biochemistry / immunodiagnostics / point of care testing).
Use effective and targeted communication. Able to communicate at all levels in a professional manner. Confident in delivering presentations.
Ability to make use of IT tools to enhance communication and fast business processes (MS Office: primarily excel and powerpoint; email, Salesforce.com, production of reports and documents).
Managing time; planning; being effective; efficient; productive and reliable.
Organised and structured approach to work; can work autonomously. Comfortable working with financial information – particularly pricing & margin calculations.
