We are recruiting a Senior NGS Scientist to join our Genomics team based in Cambridge and are seeking applications from motivated candidates with a proven track record to join our Genomics Services team that provides Next Generation Sequencing services to a wide-ranging customer base.

Applicants should have several years relevant experience in the following and be able to demonstrate a proven track record in any of the following areas:
- Experience of working to an accredited quality management system
- DNA/RNA extraction techniques
- Broad range of NGS library preps
- Operation of Illumina NGS equipment
- Automation of laboratory processes

You are likely to have a Life Science degree, or equivalent, with experience of working within a customer facing genomics core facility, working to tight deadlines for project delivery. Good interpersonal skills, meticulous record keeping and a conscientious approach to work.
Knowledge and experience in Operational Excellence would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be contracted to work 37.5 hours per week.
