A manufacturer of innovative chemistry instrumentation & equipment has an exciting opportunity to join them in a newly created commercial role! You would work closely with the Sales Director, supporting them with specific commercial projects (e.g. tenders, producing presentations and reports), managing the distributor network, analyzing performance and building relationships with key suppliers.
This is a very varied commercial role, with opportunities to develop within it and be part of a specialist and growing organisation!

A Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related degree is essential and experience working in a commercial role is preferred.

ROLE:
Assist with the management of the company's Distribution network.
Ensure that Distribution partner performance is being reviewed, monitored and reported on. Analyse this and flag and potential issues or trends, review and put development plans in place.
Co-ordinate administration for new distributors.
Build relationships with key distributors
Assist with planning, co-ordination and continual development of the Distributor training.
Assist with specific commercial products - e.g. producing documents, reports and presentations when required and assisting with key projects and tenders.
Arrange and schedule travel and accommodation for Sales Director and will also involve occasional attendance at UK and International meetings.
Schedule key regular meetings with senior leadership team and collate reports.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Experience of BSc (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related area.
Knowledge of process and organic chemistry.
Experience in the laboratory industry - any experience working in a relevant laboratory post-degree will be beneficial.
Experience in a similar role where high levels of organisation, initiative, attention to detail and communication skills are required.
Forward thinking and always seeking ways to improve current systems and suggest new initiatives
Excellent I.T skills
