Sales Executive - Thermal Analysis

An exciting Sales Executive role for a chemistry degree qualified individual to progress their sales experience in thermal analysis.

Role: UK Sales Executive
Business location: UK
Reports to: EMEA TA Sales Manager

Role definition:
- To achieve targeted direct sales of HHA Analytical Science thermal analysis equipment to both industrial and academic customers.
- The role will require working closely with the EMEA TA sales manager to Identify which UK market to focus on based on the strengths of the companies thermal analysis instruments
- A successful candidate may have a scientific degree with thermal analysis experience, and/or sales experience within the scientific instrument business.
- Working closely with other members of the UK sales team.
- The role can be located anywhere in the UK, but ideally near our headquarters which are equipped with a full demo centre in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:
- Generate sales and achieve agreed financial targets within the territory
- Develop the companies thermal analysis business within the territory
- Take responsibility for the sales and customers within the territory
- Travel throughout the territory to call on established and prospective customers
- Demonstrate products to customers when required
- Follow up sales opportunities and ensure quotations are sent promptly
- Identify new business opportunities and take appropriate action
- Create and follow up new enquires promptly and efficiently
- Maintain good customer relationships, providing regular contact and identifying and
- meeting customer requirements
- Project a professional and competent image of HHA and its products at all times
- Engage on major bids, ensuring they are won at best price and terms. Intervene personally with end-users as appropriate.
- Maintain an accurate and up to date contact database
- Attend shows and exhibitions as necessary
- Liaise with marketing to build brand awareness
- Maintain contact with the Sales Manager, ensuring that (s)he is kept aware of progress, opportunities and developments
- Participate in training and development activities as required
- Operate at all times in accordance with health and safety at work legislation
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities in line with the scope and level of responsibility of the post, which might reasonably be required.
- Occasional travel to our office in Germany

Essential Skills and Experience:
- A degree or equivalent in Chemistry or science related field
- Experience in thermal analysis is a plus
- Previous experience in scientific instrumentation sales is a plus
- A minimum of 2 years B2B sales experience
- Willingness to travel and be out meeting customers up to 4 days a week
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Confident on the phone coupled with good computer skills
- Ability to identify business opportunities for our products
