This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to enter their first role in scientific sales!

PRODUCTS: Microscopy/cameras
LOCATION: Office based in St Albans, with field based travel

To support our growing UK business, we require a Sales Engineer for our camera business. The role is sales based, with a technical emphasis, and offers the opportunity to work with scientific imaging systems, as well as a large number of photonic technologies.
This role requires a balance of visiting customers for sales and demonstrations of cameras, and office-based work, as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Sales and technical/application support of the scientific cameras and accessories
- Visiting customers to develop business, find new projects, and demonstrate products
- Supporting our team of other salespeople
- Sales of all other products, from our Systems Division and Components Divisions, including scientific cameras, spectroscopy instruments, light sources and other photo-detectors, from time to time
- Tasks including tender submission, lead generation and qualification, quotations, negotiation, customers technical queries to both new and repeat customers within UK and Eire territory
- Liaise with our parent company in Japan via email to grow business and solve customer queries
- Keeping our customer database and all other company filing systems up to date, after corresponding with a client
- Attendance and representing the company at some exhibitions and trade shows

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Either - Experience of technical sales within the camera market, or related technology. Or a good honours degree in a life science or physics related subject, may also accept practical experience in a related field.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in Microscopy and Imaging
- Knowledge of Microscopy markets, applications and techniques.
- Self Motivated
- Organisational Skills
