Duties of the Sales and Support Scientist, Biotechnology

The job duties include a focus on Proteomics and Molecular Imaging Reagent and driving sales for instruments and reagents as well as technical services contracts.
This territory covers France and Belgium

Position Responsibilities:
· Give technical presentations for customers, including seminars and workshops.
· Conduct onsite product demonstrations including help with logistics, install and start-up of systems.
· Travel to the customer's site to set up and verify the operation of products and conduct set-up experiments.
· Conduct and/or participate in customer training courses.
· Take incoming calls from customers and sales personnel and provide technical assistance by phone or onsite regarding the application, use, and maintenance of instruments, chemistries, reagents, protocols and
· Actively seek out reagent sales opportunities during system installations, customer trainings, trade shows and conferences, and drive reagent sales in key accounts.


Requirements of the Technical Sales Specialist:
· Ph.D. or a scientific degree with equivalent scientific experience in molecular biology, biochemistry or related technical discipline is required (additional post-doctoral experience with extensive lab work experience is preferred)
· OR Minimum two (2) years lab work experience with solid knowledge in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques studying DNA and proteins in vitro and vivo.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven interpersonal, and presentation aptitude; will be fluent in both verbal and written English and French.
