Sales Account Manager

Exciting Opportunity for a life science graduate with either a PhD or additional Laboratory experience to join an evolving life science distributor as a Sales Account Manager!

TITLE:Field Sales Representative
PRODUCTS: Complete life science product portfolio
TERRITORY: Cambridge
CLIENTS: Range of laboratories

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for promoting the entire range of products the company to the life science community within the defined territories, providing technical advice for customers and supporting their research with quality products.

Range of over 3 million life science products: Antibodies, proteins, small molecules, immunoassays, ELISA's, molecular biology reagents, general lab reagents, inhibitors and cell culture reagents.

Key Task List
1- Develop and increase sales by identifying key customers and key applications
2- Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets for territories
3- Report sales activities and prepare sales forecasts
4- Record all activity on the CRM database and ensure that all quotations, samples and information requests are followed up to completion
5- Develop, with the Sales Manager, a comprehensive sales plan for increasing sales at key accounts and other customer sites which have potential for targeted sales growth
6- Attend Sales & Marketing Meetings - providing input into activity & targets
7- Attend Supplier product training as necessary
8- Provide customer feedback, market intelligence and recommendations to the sales and marketing team
9- Prospect & qualify potential customers through telephone, e-mail and face-to-face meetings
10 - Represent the company within territory and at national conferences and exhibition attendance when necessary
11- Ensure that expenditure is in line with budget
12- Perform wet laboratory demonstrations of key technologies where appropriate
13- Conduct technical and sales presentations to customers at Conferences and Seminars
14- 3-4 customer facing days / week aligned to meet sales objectives
15- 1 day / week planning visits & follow up (from home or office)
