Regulatory Expert

LOCATION: Ideally based in South UK

In your position as a Regulatory Expert you will act as the In-Country Regulatory Representative within the UK. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Plan and manage site regulatory functions for materials containing animal by-products and (genetically modified) micro-organisms. Consultation and preparation for facility licenses.
- Perform local country surveillance and advocacy activities for animal by-products.
- Training for and support of internal stakeholders, external customers and relevant Competent Authorities regarding animal by-products.
- Negotiate and fulfil regulatory requirements with suppliers and customers.
- Management of Import /Export Systems and Documents. Design and Preparation of Statements for materials containing animal origin. Carry out regulatory filing/registration, including change notifications and registration amendments.
- Participate as the Regulatory Representative in the product development process to execute regulatory strategies, assessments and plans. Participate in the local customer complaint, non-conformance and change control activities for regulatory impact. Maintenance of regulatory records and systems. Plan and manage regulatory activities on both new and in-line products in accordance with authorities.
- Work effectively in a mixed environment and use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services and to define processes and standards
- Collaborate with other digital experts, IT developers and data specialists to accelerate the use of digital assets, best practices and solutions.
- Some domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Who you are:
- Degree in a Life Science or related discipline, higher degree preferable (e.g. PhD)
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Additional languages are an asset
- Significant professional experience in the Life Science industry, Trade Compliance or related field.
