We have an exciting opening available for a Regional Sales Specialist to join a market leading provider of scientific analysers! This company supplies automated haematology and coagulation diagnostic analysers, reagents and information systems for laboratories and healthcare facilities within the UK and Ireland. This position is perfect for a scientist seeking their first sales role!

Role: Regional Sales Specialist
Location: Field Based (UK) and Living in the South of England
Clients: Private laboratories & Sporting facilities

Main Objectives
Represent the company as a Regional Sales Specialist for your designated territory or accounts. You will support your Senior Account Manager in delivering on the overall business plan, taking ownership of assigned objectives and delivering on assigned targets.

You will be responsible for acquiring business outside of core NHS pathology service. Your market opportunities will consist of small private and commercial laboratories, research establishments together with clinics and hospital departments wishing to procure outside of core laboratory purchasing arrangements. The role is a self-motivated role requiring the successful individual to hunt all opportunities over a relatively large geographical area. You will be responsible for the whole sales cycle and ultimately closing the deal.

You will be expected to ensure that all aspects of any proposition sold on behalf is delivered on behalf of the customer and that you ensure any such renewable arrangements such as standing orders and maintenance contracts are dealt with on behalf of the company and the customer.

The role will demand complete visibility of your activities and actions and you will be expected to cover territory, research new opportunities and explore all possible channels for obtaining sales.

You will be focussed on quality and through the business management system drive continual improvement through you and your team's internal and external activities.

Sales Activities:
- Creating activity plan for your region
- Phoning/emailing/writing to/Meeting potential clients
- Researching new sales opportunities
- Exploiting all sales channels
- Closing sales
- Reporting Sales Activity and success
- Identifying and exploiting all profitable business opportunities.

General Tasks:
- Forecasting and territory planning
- Reagent and Consumable standing orders
- Quotations
- CRM update and maintenance
- Training and development


Qualifications, Education and Training

Essential:
- MUST HOLD A FULL DRIVING LICENCE
- WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL FOR 60% OF THE TIME WITHIN THE REGION
- FLUENT IN ENGLISH
- IT LITERATE: COMPREHENSIVE SKILLS IN MICROSOFT MS OFFICE

Desirable:
- A science degree is preferable but not essential as other qualifications which demonstrate academic and learning capability and ability to understand the business will be considered
- Previous sales experience but not essential
