Regional Account Manager - Molecular Diagnostics

An exciting oppurtunity for an experienced molecular diagnostic sales candidate looking to join a market leading organisation globally, high earning potential is avaliable with this role when achieving.
To work with the UK and Ireland Field Sales Manager to develop, achieve and maintain business growth and market share through exceptional sales execution for a specific Business Unit and within designated geographical Area. Responsible for coaching, developing and engaging their team and motivating them to achieve short, medium and long-term strategic plans and annual sales targets. Responsible for provision of excellence in customer relationship management, customer service and support. Effective representative for and positive promotion of the our brand. Establish and maintain high level Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships.


Drives Results and Sales and Regional Sales Performance:
Develop and own regional sales plan in line with revenue and growth commitments.
Manage tender bids, submissions and negotiations in their region.
Deliver quarterly/annual budget expectations and management of revenue as required in line with the national plan.
Is self-directed in working to meet and exceed business objectives.
Ensures they meet the needs of customer not just the sales of the product.
Collaborates with other team members and other resources to achieve desired customer outcomes.

Displays Business Acumen and Organizational Astuteness:
Understands customers and company's business and financial drivers to assist sales team in developing business solutions.
Working autonomously to manage complex sales activities with senior customer stakeholders (management, clinician, finance, procurement and commissioning).
Ensures sales team are current on the health care field, competitive products, legislation and relevant disease states.
Builds and leverages relationships at all levels and networks both internally and externally to achieve desired results.
Anticipates and navigates situational resistance within their region to new ideas or business development efforts to gain agreement/acceptance.
Properly introduces new team members to the full environment.

Is effective at asking relevant questions and listening to understand business issues and goals within their region and provide mutually beneficial business solutions.
Builds strong relationships with internal team members and external contacts based on trust and communication.
Develops, manages and negotiates in conjunction with Key Accounts, new and ongoing purchasing agreements with buying groups and KOL's in their region.

Experience of Success in Diagnostic Sales
Degree or higher in scientific or business-related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SalesForce CRM and Oracle ERP systems
Holds current drivers' licence of relevant class.

Up to 70-80% travel time - fluctuating with business requirements

Reports to
UK and Ireland Field Sales Manager
