PRODUCTS: Physical Science - Advanced scientific digital cameras for High Energy Detection and Time-Resolved Detection

TERRITORY: Up to 40% global travel - Can be based anywhere in the UK that has good access to an airport

Key Tasks:
· Develop and drive the growth strategy for HED and TR market segments, to meet corporate goals for sales & profitability. Working together with the Business Manager, Head of Technology, Senior Engineering and Sales Management, you will formulate, present and implement a robust growth strategy that encompasses both the academic research market and the OEM market.
· Generation of business cases for NPI projects within HED and TR, with clear responsibility for both revenue and profit margin growth.
· Liaising closely with Field Application Specialists, manage the processes relating to Voice of Customer (VOC). Market intimacy is paramount; you will develop a keen awareness of customer goals and desires, and ensure that this firmly guides our NPI implementation, marketing messaging and lead generation activities.
· Manage product portfolio throughput the entire product life cycle. Continually act to drive a positive return within key markets, contributing notably to our corporate growth ambitions. Manage the product end-of-life process.
· Pre-sales support of academic research and OEM opportunities, within the areas of HED and TR.
· Produce and manage regular lead generation activities/resources and generate sales and marketing tools necessary to meet agreed revenue objectives. Liaise with the Marketing Communications team to ensure a regular flow of fresh materials that are designed to elevate the company's brand amongst researchers operating within your defined application areas.
· Understanding and tracking our competitors' product introductions, market focus, pricing and tactics.
· Product Management representation of the Customer Special Request (CSR) function of the business, ensuring that application-driven customer requests for variations of standard products have been properly qualified and translated to specific requirements, prior to communication to the company's CSR engineering function.
· Development and management of relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
· Conduct regular sales force training relating to specified market segments.
· Input into annual update of the company's 5 year strategic roadmap and revenue forecasting.
· Travel worldwide as required by the role.
· Any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time by the Physical Sciences and OEM Business Manager.

Person Specification:
· Degree or Equivalent in Physics or Chemistry, or an Engineering discipline, PhD is preferred
· Ideally 3 years' experience of scientific digital cameras in either a Product Management, Engineering, direct selling, or academic research capacity.
