Probe Repair Technician
We are recruiting for an exciting Probe Repair Technician role based in Corby for a growing medical device company.
Job Title: Probe Repair Technician
Reporting to: Probe Lab Manager
The successful candidate will learn and grow as a Probe Repair Technician by following a trainee programme where you will receive excellent training. You will go through full product training as well as ongoing support through mentoring from individuals who are experts in this field.
o To carry out inspection and repair of Ultrasound transducers as instructed by Probe Lab Manager.
o To provide technical advice and support to internal and external customers.
o Work with Probe Lab Manager to enhance customer experience
o Work alongside Probe Administrator to provide regular updates to internal/external customers on ongoing repairs
o Complete tasks within set timescales
o Maintain high level of cleanliness within lab environment
o Adhoc duties as instructed by probe lab manager
o These are highly complex electronic devices however a deep understanding of electronics whilst desirable is not essential. Fine hand skills are essential. A high level of dexterity is a necessity.
o A keen eye for detail. Many tests require exact measurements and so a good eye for technical detail whilst analysing and recording results is required.
o Ability to work consistently to a high standard
o There is a requirement to use lab equipment including microscopes, vacuum chambers and some custom-made systems, often for extended periods of time whilst tests are run, so stamina and ability to maintain a high level of concentration will be required.
o We are a small company so a "Team Player" attitude is essential.
o Educated to a high standard.
o Ability/experience to focus and work for long periods using a microscope.
o Experience of soldering advantageous.
o Experience in skilled repairs advantageous.
o Organised and able to follow instructions
o A can do/will do attitude to always do the best for the business/customer.
Full training will be provided in-house.
