Role Overview

Are you an experienced engineer in the medical industry looking to explore the path of management? We have a brilliant opportunity to support a leading manufacturer in clinical diagnostics who are looking for a principal engineer to join their team in Winnersh.

We are looking for someone who feels they have reached maximum potential in their current role and just needs to be given that opportunity to start moving up the ladder!

You will be responsible for ensuring customers receive the highest level of support service and that all systems are maintained to the highest standard: this includes them being fixed as rapidly as possible as well as supporting the Service Manager with a team of 7 engineers. This is an office based role in Winnersh, (4 days office, 1 day remote).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure all engineers are in the right place at the right time with the corrects spares and tools
Ensure the Service Database in updated timely and all data is accurate and correct
Ensure that all Preventative Maintenance visits are completed to the standards of the required protocol
To follow all company procedures relating to the movement of stock including spare parts
Ensure that all product bulletins and service update information is read, fully understood and filed in an orderly manner
Ensure all monthly & MES reports are completed on time
Ensure that all company equipment, including car is kept in a clean, well maintained condition. Appearance, dress and manner should be such as to improve and reinforce the company quality image at all times

Person Specification

Field service experience within a high-tech field, ideally within medical instrumentation.
Desire to move into a management role in the near future
Leadership skills and able to motivate a team
Full, valid driving license
Commutable to offices in Winnersh
