Operations and Supply Chain Manager

Zenopa are recruiting exclusively for a dynamic Operations Manager position within a growing Pharmaceutical organisation.

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. Working closely with Commercial, Quality & Regulatory to ensure the smooth transition of supply from manufacturer through to release. The role oversees multiple sites and also will oversee the procurement of medicines to the UK.

" Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
" Collaborate with Sales & Quality teams
" Determine key supply chain KPIs
" Oversee the procurement of medicines across our markets
" Communicates any changes in the order or delivery date to relevant parties
" Analyse & manage inventory to minimise Stock Days, reduce scrappage & ensure continuity of supply
" Everything from a supply chain perspective, organisation of warehouse flow, imports/stock coming in
" Optimising the operational process to flow better in preparation for continual growth
" Linking supply UK & US supply chain
" Line management of two warehouse operatives
" Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
" Work with commercial, finance & sales teams to determine best manufacturing options
" Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers & manufacturers
" Manage contract relationship with logistics company
" Formulate business strategy with others in the executive team
" Implement efficient processes and standards
" Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g. data protection)
" Manage contracts and relations with distributors, partners and other stakeholders
" Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts
" Report on operational performance and suggest process improvements

Person Profile:
" Operations/Supply Chain management, ideally within pharma
" Procurement experience would be a strong advantage
" As would line management but not as crucial
" GMP/GXP experience

" Commutable to the office/warehouse at least three days a week, ideally more
" Dynamic individual who is enthusiastic to grow with the business
" Will sit within the leadership team so needs to have that credibility about them
" Aspiring Director to grow within an evolving fast paced group of companies
" Team player, our company is based on rolling up selves and getting stuck in
" Exposure to dealing with manufacturers or suppliers
" Procurement and making commercial checks
" Extensive supply chain management experience
" Interpersonal management skills
" Experience engaging with colleagues out of the country (i.e head office global)

- Proven experience as Head of Operations, , Operations Manager or similar leadership role
- Hands on experience with supply chain management software
- Familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, supply chain and IT
- Experience with implementing IT systems

Key Capabilities
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting

- Degree level or equivalent majoring in Supply Chain or Operations Management desired
