Lord Trees opens BSAVA refurbished headquarters

Animal Health

Following a twenty year tenure, and two years of renovations, Lord Sandy Trees has officially opened the BSAVA’s newly refurbished headquarters at Woodrow House, Gloucestershire, which has seen the property increase by a third of its original size. Outside improvements include electric car charge points, bicycle racks, landscaping, bird boxes built into the walls, a small pond and a log pile. Inside, there are energy-saving innovations, a new practical wet lab equipped to share learning with a remote audience, hi-tech lecture rooms and a second teaching room where equipment such as microscopes or x-ray screens can be used, and meeting rooms with video conferencing technology and giant presentation screens.

“Lord Trees opens BSAVA refurbished headquarters.“

Lord Trees gave the opening address and Sarah Page-Jones, director of the Royal Veterinary College teaching hospital service, gave a presentation on an insight into leadership. Lord Trees said: “The wonderful facilities of this new building will provide a great resource for veterinary education and CPD, which, of course, not only benefits vets and vet nurses, but more importantly, will ultimately benefit the health and welfare of our pet population.”
