Cook Medical announces large-scale organisational restructuring
Medical Company RestructuresCook Medical has announced a series of planned changes that will significantly simplify its organisational structure to facilitate growth and better service standards.
Under these plans, the company's ten existing strategic business units will be merged to form two business divisions, MedSurg and Vascular. This will help align sales teams to meet specific customer needs, while also creating a more streamlined contracting process.
“Cook Medical has announced new structural changes to its organisation, reducing its overall number of business units to deliver more streamlined operations.“
Meanwhile, the firm's customer support and distribution centres will be centralised under one leadership team, with new global teams established to oversee distribution channel management and medical education and a dedicated research and development team now in place.
No layoffs will be made as a result of these structure changes, which are being introduced in response to evolving customer trends.

Pete Yonkman, president of Cook Group and Cook Medical, said: "We are committed to putting the needs of our customers and our employees at the center of everything we do. These changes are exciting and will be beneficial for employees, customers, and ultimately patients."
