MHP Communications names new head of health innovation

4th January 2018

MHP Communications has announced that its health practice head Rachel Rowson will be moving into the newly-created role of head of health innovation.

In this role, Ms Rowson – who has been with the agency since 2009 – will provide advice for companies in the fast-growing health technology space, with particular focus on applications for big data, AI and digital consumer health tools.

She will also work with MHP's Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia offices to grow its international health portfolio, while continuing to act as a senior advisor to clients.

Meanwhile, Kate Pogson – who has served as a managing director within the MHP health practice since joining in 2015 – will take over Ms Rowson's responsibilities as head of the 30-strong team, which represents clients including Roche and AstraZeneca.

She will work closely with MHP's managing director and leading healthcare lobbyist Peter Digger to maintain the positive momentum the business experienced under Ms Rowson's leadership.

MHP's chief executive officer Alex Bigg said: "I'm delighted that Rachel and Kate are leading MHP's health practice at a time when we are looking to drive growth across the agency."
