GCI Health has promoted Edie DeVine to the newly-created role of director of medical and health technology for its US business.
Ms DeVine, who was previously employed as the agency's lead for the US West Coast area, has been tasked with overseeing the firm's medical device and health IT client work, and will now be responsible for growth in that area, reports PRWeek.
“GCI Health has named Edie DeVine as its new US director of medical and health technology, a newly-created role.“
Prior to joining GCI Health in 2010, Ms DeVine worked at WeissComm Partners and Progenics Pharmaceuticals. In her new role, she will work with health IT and medical devices clients such as Abbott, Eccovia Solutions and Qiagen.
Ms DeVine said: "This is an offering we’ve been building for a number of years. We're seeing more medical device and healthcare companies going beyond their specialties, and traditional and tech companies looking for ways to do more in healthcare."
Elliot Levy, a former GCI Health senior vice-president in the Los Angeles area, has moved into Ms DeVine's previous West Coast role, overseeing the firm's clients and growth in LA, San Francisco and Denver, and managing around a dozen members of staff.
