Hill-Rom adds Honeywell patient monitoring capabilities for Welch Allyn devices

Medical Company Product News

Hill-Rom has announced a new agreement to introduce Honeywell patient monitoring capabilities for its Welch Allyn-branded home medical devices.

Through this agreement, the Welch Allyn Home 1700 Series Blood Pressure Monitor with SureBP technology and Welch Allyn Home Weight Scale will be offered as standard peripherals with Honeywell Life Care Solutions' Genesis Touch remote patient monitoring kits.

“Hill-Rom has announced that its Welch Allyn home medical devices will now be offered as part of Honeywell's remote patient monitoring platform.“

The Welch Allyn devices will pair wirelessly with Honeywell's patient monitoring platform to provide accurate readings for remote access by medical professionals, without requiring the patient to travel to a doctor's office for a visit.

By leveraging the capabilities of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, this will allow patients and providers to experience a higher quality of care outside of traditional healthcare settings.

Alton Shader, president of Hill-Rom's frontline care business, said: "We are honoured and excited to be chosen by Honeywell Life Care Solutions as their standard for clinically-accurate remote patient monitoring."
