Lighthouse Medical Communications appoints new US head

Lighthouse Medical Communications has announced the appointment of Andy Willmer to the position of managing director of its US operations.

Mr Wilmer boasts considerable pharmaceutical, healthcare marketing and brand communications experience, having held senior positions with Pharmacia, Biovail and Roche, and most recently at Ogilvy CommonHealth in the US.

In his new role, he will lead the agency's US communications team in the delivery of medical education and disease understanding programmes, publications and communications planning, peer-to-peer medical communications and medical advocacy development.

This appointment comes in response to the considerable growth Lighthouse has experienced since its foundation in 2014, particularly in terms of the significant business opportunities it has seen in the US market.
