Makara Health has announced the addition of two new members of its growing team as it seeks to capitalise on its recent momentum.

Helena Wright has been hired by the agency as its new associate director of client relations, joining the firm from Havas Life Medicom, where she held the position of associate director of PR and communications.

“Makara Health has appointed Helena Wright as its new associate director of client relations, with Gina Dootson joining as a senior medical writer.“

She brings more than a decade of experience in healthcare communications, including seven years in-house at GlaxoSmithKline and five years in-house at Alliance Healthcare UK.

Meanwhile, Gina Dootson has joined Makara Health as a senior medical writer, bringing a strong background in scientific research and more than eight years of medical writing experience.

She spent the last three years as an independent freelancer, following a five-year stint at the medical communications agency Transart, where she supported global educational and learning programmes for Shire, Takeda and Allergan.
