New agency Mearns and Pike formed by healthcare comms veterans
Marketing ServicesA new UK-based healthcare marketing and communications agency called Mearns and Pike has been established by a pair of healthcare comms veterans.
The business has been founded by Kirsty Mearns, former managing director for Havas Just, and Medtronic's former director of communications Jon Pike. It will offer strategic marketing comms, public and professional relations for health-related organisations and brands, reports PMLiVE.
“Veteran healthcare comms professionals Kirsty Mearns and Jon Pike have formed a new agency called Mearns and Pike.“
Its portfolio will be based on a foundation of pharmaceutical and medtech companies, start-ups, health-focused organisations and patient charities, with the agency set to focus on delivering programmes that drive behavioural change and deliver tangible results.
The founders said they are keen to work closely with clients and stakeholders on these campaigns, reflecting the fact that the traditional agency approach of long lead times, large multi-layered teams and sizeable budgets is now outdated.

Mr Pike said: "We believe clients will love the chance to work with an agency that truly understands their challenges, shows them a different way of looking at things and collaborates with them to create projects that they will be proud to work on."
