Hive Health has announced the appointment of Mike Walker as the new brand development director of its London-based team.

Mr Walker joins the agency from BBH, where he most recently served as global creative director for AbbVie's Humira, the world's biggest-selling drug, leading the strategic direction for its portfolio of indications. He also oversaw the creative direction of AstraZeneca's global respiratory brands.

“Hive Health has appointed Mike Walker, formerly of BBH, as its new brand development director.“

Prior to BBH, he served in various senior creative leadership and brand strategy roles for Saatchi Health and Grey Healthcare, and can boast 25 years of global and local brand development expertise across a range of therapy areas.

In his new role at Hive Health, Mr Walker will join a 90-strong team and be tasked with working alongside key clients to drive brand differentiation and relevancy across the communications mix.

Agency director Jas Hummel said: "Mike's experience in global brand strategy combined with his creative pedigree means he brings a unique perspective to brand development. He's a perfect match for our proposition and culture."
