The British Dental Association (BDA) is launching a new industry event called the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show in May 2018.

The industry body has allied with CloserStill Media to create a combined event that takes the place of the previous British Dental Conference and Exhibition, organised by the BDA, and CloserStill Media's The Dentistry Show.

“The British Dental Association is collaborating with CloserStill Media to launch a new event called the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show.“

The BDA Conference and Exhibition ran for more than 100 years and acted as the BDA's annual flagship event for its members and the wider dental profession, while The Dentistry Show would have marked its 11th year in 2018.

Instead, the new British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show will act as a one-stop landmark annual event, to be held on May 18th and 19th at the Birmingham NEC. More than 10,800 visitors are expected to attend over the course of the two days.

Peter Ward, chief executive of the BDA, said: "Our members are our number one priority. On top of one unmissable national conference, we are working to ensure they have access to more exclusive events in more locations across the UK."
