Text100 has announced the appointment of Rod Cartwright as its new regional director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Mr Cartwright joins Text100 from Ketchum, where he spent nine years and served as a global partner and as director of the firm's global corporate practice. Prior to this, he was employed by Hill and Knowlton and GCI London.

“Text100 has named Rod Cartwright as its new EMEA regional director, succeeding Cecile Missildine.“

He is a founding fellow and former board member of the Public Relations and Communications Association, and has advised top brands such as Nissan, IBM, KFC, Toyota, IATA and Western Union.

Aedhmar Hynes, chief executive officer of Text100, said: "His arrival underlines our commitment to becoming the fastest-growing marketing communications agency that inspires in a world transformed by technology."

Mr Cartwright has been named as the successor to Cecile Missildine, who is taking up a new role as head of Text100's global insights and analytics unit, after spending five successful years in the EMEA role.
