The organisers of this year's British Dental Industry Association (BDIA) Dental Showcase have announced plans to host a series of talks organised by chief dental officer Sara Hurley.
Ms Hurley and the Office of the Chief Dental Officer for England (OCDO) will be working to promote and raise awareness of a range of oral health campaigns and directives during the conference, which runs from October 19th to 21st in Birmingham.
“The BDIA Dental Showcase has announced a number of events to be organised by the Office of the Chief Dental Officer for England.“
A dedicated zone will be established to enable Ms Hurley's team to engage with the dental community and tackle questions regarding dental care in England, workforce development and NHS England's provision of services.
Three keynote sessions will also be held, with Andrew Taylor, OCDO's head of programmes, to discuss the transformation of the digital landscape, while the entire OCDO team will give a talk on clinical leadership of NHS England commissioning.
Additionally, Ms Hurley herself will be introducing a presentation to show attendees how to successfully navigate the NHS England procurement process.
Ed Wyre, event director of the BDIA Dental Showcase, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the whole dental team to come and learn how policy change within NHS England will have an impact on their practice as we move into a new era of dentistry."
