Petplan sponsors Channel 4’s Animal Rescue Live: Supervet Special

Petplan has provided sponsorship for Animal Rescue Live: Supervet Special, a special Channel 4 show airing throughout the week.

The five-day run of live programmes began airing from Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter on August 7th to highlight the number of pets in need of homes in the UK, with Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and Channel 4 presenter Steve Jones hosting.

Petplan's sponsorship of the show comes as part of its broader support of the Channel 4 Pets on 4 programming strand, through which it has already been able to make significant charitable contributions.

This includes three million pounds in annual donations to animal rehoming centres, four weeks of free Petplan insurance for every re-homed pet, and the creation of the Petplan Charitable Trust, which has awarded more than eight million pounds towards animal welfare causes.
