W has won a new contract with Brightpearl, a provider of retail management systems that is seeking to expand its brand on a global basis.

The firm is seeking to increase engagement with mid-sized UK retailers and has hired W's newly-established W Enterprise division to build awareness and understanding of Brightpearl's business among retail and vertical publications, reports Gorkana.

“W has been handed a new contract by the retail management system provider Brightpearl.“

Additionally, the agency will tell the company's story in the mainstream business press and will create a bespoke press office function to amplify Brightpearl's news, announcements and product launches to ensure they reach the right audience.

Derek O'Carroll, Brightpearl's chief executive, said it has appointed W for this brief due to its strong understanding of which media conversations Brightpearl needs to be part of, and how to achieve this goal.

Becky Charles, head of W Enterprise, said: "Retail, technology and data continue to be a heady mix. This is such an exciting time to be involved with a pioneering disruptor such as Brightpearl, with the capability to transform the way retailers operate."
