ResMed reports strong results for fourth quarter and full year of 2017

7th August 2017

ResMed has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2017, during which it generated a revenue total of $556.7 million (427.37 million pounds).

This represented a year-on-year increase of seven percent, or eight percent on a constant currency basis, with sales of ResMed's devices, masks and software-as-a-service offerings driving this momentum.

The acquisition of the Brightree business in April 2016 was cited as a major contributor to the most recent success, as well as the launch of the new AirTouch and AirMini offerings.

Revenue for the full year increased 12 percent over the prior year to $2.1 billion, or a 13 percent increase on a constant currency basis.

Mick Farrell, ResMed's chief executive officer, said: "We are positioned for another great year ahead, as we deliver products and solutions that improve patient outcomes, create efficiencies for our customers, lower overall healthcare system costs and deliver cash to our shareholders."
