Huntsworth to acquire The Creative Engagement Group

Marketing Services

Huntsworth has announced the acquisition of The Creative Engagement Group (TCEG), a deal that will help the firm to bolster its healthcare comms capabilities.

TCEG consists of three creative agencies - WRG, The Moment and Just Communicate - that provide experiential marketing, primarily through events and digital marketing, to a client base that mostly consists of healthcare sector businesses.

“Huntsworth has agreed to acquire The Creative Engagement Group in a deal worth 24.7 million pounds.“

Based in the UK, TCEG serves clients across the world, with approximately one-third of its 26 million pounds of revenue in the year to October 31st 2016 generated in the US.

This acquisition is expected to strengthen Huntsworth's digital capabilities, as well as providing access to a wide range of new healthcare clients. TCEG's strong US presence is an added bonus, as Huntsworth is keen to increase its market share in this region.

Paul Taaffe, chief executive officer of Huntsworth, said: "TCEG is a great company with a wealth of talent and blue chip clients which will benefit from Huntsworth's reach and connections, especially in healthcare."

TCEG chief executive Russ Lidstone and chief operating officer David Sharrock have both confirmed that they will remain with the business following the takeover.
