Spink wins brief with gastroenterology society ESPGHAN

Spink has been handed a new brief by the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), ahead of its 50th annual congress.

The gastroenterology society is looking to raise awareness of the Prague congress later this year, which is expected to be attended by 4,000 delegates, including key opinion leaders in the field of paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, reports PMLiVE.

“Spink has been handed a new contract by the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition.“

As such, Spink has been tasked with managing ESPGHAN's relations with the medical trade and global press, with the agency also set to run an on-site and online press office and a social media campaign to highlight key content from the congress.

The overall goal will be to help ESPGHAN to reach a wider audience and extend its political influence.

Jo Spink, director at Spink, said: "Paediatric digestive health receives limited exposure and is underfunded, so we are looking forward to the opportunity of using our experience and expertise to strengthen ESPGHAN's communications and presence in Europe."

This marks the second major gastroenterology client Spink has won in the past three years, having also managed communications for United European Gastroenterology.
