Ketchum has announced the appointment of Kate Paxton and Neil McLelland to key leadership roles within its healthcare team.
Ms Paxton has been named as director of the agency's healthcare practice in London, moving to the UK after previously heading Ketchum's Washington DC practice in the US. She has been with the organisation for 16 years.
“Ketchum has appointed Kate Paxton as the new head of its healthcare division in London, with Neil McLelland becoming director of its medical education business.“
Meanwhile, Mr McLelland - a former executive director at Virgo Health Education - has joined Ketchum in the new role of director of Inspired Science, the agency's medical education offering.
He has worked in health and science-related PR for several years, with previous roles including senior vice-president for medical education at MedErgy Communications, and client services director at Ogilvy Healthworld.
Both Ms Paxton and Mr McLelland will report into Jo-ann Robertson, partner and deputy chief executive of Ketchum London.
Denise Kaufmann, partner and chief executive officer of Ketchum London, said: "Kate and Neil bring a wealth of experience in healthcare communications, medical education and specialist team leadership, and I believe our clients will benefit greatly from their expertise."
