Sartorius agrees new partnership with European Molecular Biology Laboratory

Scientific Company News

Sartorius has announced a new partnership with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), one of Europe's leading research institutions.

The company has joined EMBL's Corporate Partnership Programme, a platform designed to help foster advanced training collaborations and activities designed to connect industry and  academia.

“Sartorius has announced a new partnership with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory to offer advanced training and science education.“

Initiatives will include the creation of training courses, sponsoring conferences and organising workshops for professionals and young scientists at the EMBL International Center for Advanced Training.

Sartorius will also provide long-term support to EMBL's school education programme by funding travel bursaries for teachers to attend courses run by EMBL's Learning Laboratory for the Life Sciences.

This will allow Sartorius to share its expertise to help enhance scientific education and practice, while allowing EMBL to expand its footprint by strengthening activities beyond the academic sphere.

Karen Storm, vice-president of marketing for lab products and services division at Sartorius, said: "By focusing on professional training at all levels, and ensuring that the next generation of young talent has access to the latest knowledge, we aim to support the scientific community to reach its maximum potential."
