Clarion Communications has won a new brief with Hill's Pet Nutrition, the Colgate-Palmolive-owned animal health company.

The agency has been tasked with handling the client's social media strategy and content in the UK, with the aim of growing brand loyalty and engaging the community around its pet food products, reports Gorkana.

“Clarion Communications has been appointed to handle UK social media strategy and content for Hill's Pet Nutrition.“

Clarion has taken immediate control of Hill's organic and paid activity across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, offering information designed to help owners play a key role in their pets' health.

Sue Roberts, managing partner at Clarion, said: "With our previous pet food experience and longstanding social media knowledge, we're perfectly placed to build an emotional connection for the brand with UK consumers in an increasingly competitive pet food market."

Hill's Pet Nutrition employs a team of more than 150 veterinarians, PhD nutritionists and food scientists, offering a wide range of products including the Hill's Science Plan, Hill's Prescription Diet, Hill's Vet Essentials and Hill's Ideal Balance ranges.
