Mawdsleys teams with Tena for successful incontinence training course

Consumer Healthcare News

Mawdsleys has hailed the success of a recent bladder weakness training course it held in Sheffield in partnership with Tena, the UK's leading incontinence brand.

Staff from Jaysons Pharmacy in Nottingham and McGills Pharmacy in Doncaster attended the event at Sheffield's Hilton hotel earlier this week, which offered in-depth training and advice on bladder weakness.

“Mawdsleys has allied with Tena to provide in-depth training and advice on bladder weakness to local pharmacy staff in Sheffield.“

Attendees were educated about key statistics relating to the problem, including the fact that an estimated three to six million people suffer with urinary incontinence in the UK today, while being briefed on how to offer help and guidance on this delicate subject.

Lynne Hagan from Tena was on hand to provide information on which products in the Tena range would be best suited for specific patient issues, as well as to offer guidance on which signs to look out for when making a purchase.

This was the second such training course to be organised by Mawdsleys, following the success of a similar event that took place in April earlier this year in Salford.
