Emotive announces new medical writing and client services appointments

Emotive has announced the appointment of Dr Aki Okazaki and Dr Ian Seymour to new roles within its growing team.

Dr Okazaki joins the agency's client services department as an associate director, a role that will leverage her broad-ranging experience of working in therapeutic areas including haematology, infectious disease, oncology, mental health, rare disease and skin disease.

“Emotive has appointed Dr Aki Okazaki and Dr Ian Seymour to new roles within its medical writing and client services departments.“

She can boast more than nine years of experience in medical communications, with strong knowledge of pre-launch strategy and tactical implementation, key opinion leader development, patient engagement, disease awareness and continuing medical education.

Meanwhile, Dr Seymour has been recruited as the agency's new senior medical writer, a discipline in which he has gained experience through work for a number of award-winning agencies.

His career has also included time spent as a microbiologist, government scientist and cancer researcher, including a ten-year residency in Italy.
