Fisher and Paykel launches 950 Heated Humidification System

Fisher and Paykel has announced the launch of its new 950 Heated Humidification System, which provides respiratory support in conjunction with invasive, non-invasive and Optiflow nasal high flow therapies.

This high-performance system is optimised for ease of use and helps to minimise condensate, consisting of a heater base plus new sensing technologies and consumable sets.

A successor to the market-leading Fisher and Paykel 850 system, the device recently completed 50,000 hours of clinical trials, with customer feedback showing that 81 percent rated it better than its predecessor, while 99 percent said it performed at least was well.

It is being made available in New Zealand and Australia this month, with launches in Canada and Europe to follow. The US release is dependent on securing regulatory approval for the device.
