Agilent Technologies completes asset acquisition of iLab Solutions

Agilent Technologies has completed the asset acquisition of iLab Solutions, with the business becoming part of the Agilent CrossLab group's laboratory enterprise division.

A leader in cloud-based solutions for core laboratory management, iLab Solutions agreed to a takeover by Agilent in June, with the move seeing the company purchasing all of iLab's technology, intellectual property and products, as well as its employee talent.

Its offerings will enable Agilent customers to easily and accurately book time in shared facilities and to bill and invoice for projects, as well as facilitating the management of studies, the generation of reports and business intelligence, and the scheduling of instrument reservations across multiple projects.

All of the nearly 70 employees and contractors who previously worked with iLab have been offered roles by Agilent, while existing iLab customers will benefit from integration with a broad family of solutions and new applications.

Mark Doak, president of Agilent's CrossLab group, said: "Agilent is a one-stop partner to equip, manage and serve our customers' entire laboratory. Our acquisition of iLab further expands our offerings portfolio in a space we previously did not have a presence in."
